  • Research Fields
    1.  Total synthesis of bioactive natural products
    The total synthesis of structurally distinct natural products, ranging from cyclodepsipeptides, macrolides to indole alkaloids
    2.  Biological evaluation and study of natural products
    Upon completion of the total syntheses, we also investigate the corresponding mechanisms of those natural products with potent anticancer or antibacterial activities. Further biological studies offer some opportunities to understand the structural-activity relationship (SAR) of a promising compound, either we may get some insights for of how natural products take their effects, which are good starting points for drug discovery.
