2014 Shenzhen Housing Grant Applicant Information

According to the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government’s decision to implement the Shenzhen Housing Grant, applicants of the 2014 Housing Grant must adhere to the following procedures:
 
1.           Application Conditions:
a) The applicants (and their spouses) must not have benefited from any additional housing benefits from the city of Shenzhen. In addition, they must currently work and live in Shenzhen.
b) Senior, middle and junior level applicants must have signed a working contract with PKU Shenzhen. All ages displayed below must be calculated before January 1, 2013.
l   Senior Level: must hold a rank of professor and be less than 46 years old; or be an associate professor under 41 years old;
l   Middle and Junior Levels: must have graduated from a university as a full time student (in China or abroad). Master’s degree applicants must be under 31; Bachelor applicants must be under 26.
l   The individual and his/her spouse as well as their(s) children under 18 must not already own any form of housing in Shenzhen or have benefited from a preferential housing policy.
2.           Grant Amounts:
Professor level applicants will receive RMB 2,000/month
Associate professors will receive RMB 1,500/ month
PhD graduates will receive RMB 1,000/month
Master’s degree graduates will receive RMB 500/month
Bachelor degree graduates will receive RMB 200/month.
The applicants can benefit the housing grant for at most three years while they are working in Shenzhen.
3.           Application Materials Required:
a) The applicant’s rent subsidy, individual application form and detailed statement (see appendixes)
b) Original copies of applicant’s passport, copy of employment contract, marriage certificate (if applicable);
c) Original copies of applicant’s diploma, degree certificate, certificate of professional job title andcopies of their government identification documents. For senior level applicants, these documents must be verified by professionals in their field by providing both certificates from the Human Resources and Department of Social Security of Shenzhen with their application.
Note: Diplomas obtained from universities outside the China mainland need to be authenticated by the Ministry of Education of China. The authentication processis explained further in the attached appendixes.
d) Shenzhen Social Security Card
If the applicant does not have a Social Security Card, then the applicant should provide official tax documents (can be applied through the Finance Service Office). Contact: Mr Hu Changchun 26035567.
Due to the Housing Management Center’s deadline for submitting materials, please contact Mr. Hu by providing the original passport, a copy of the latest entry stamp, employment contract and the Foreign Expert Certificate.
e) Passports of the applicant’s spouse and children under 18;
f) A signed statement (template can be provided by the HR Office) certifying that the applicant, his or her spouse and children under 18 do not own any form of housing in Shenzhen and do not benefit from a preferential housing plan.
g) The house rental contract is not required to be submitted during this application.
4.   Application Deadline
Before 15th of every month, the two electronic forms (application form and name list) and all original, copies and JPG scanned documents must be submitted to HR office (hr@pkusz.edu.cn );
During 17th—20th of every month, the application list will be complied within PKU Shenzhen;
Before 22nd of every month, all the documents will be stamped and submitted to government office by HR office.
