“2026 National Excellent Undergraduate Summer Camp”and the 19th (2026) National Excellent Undergraduate Summer Camp of the School of Chemical Biology and Biotechnology
The School of Chemical Biology and Biotechnology (hereafter referred as the “SCBB”) at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School was established in 2003 and was approved in 2007 as the first national secondary discipline doctoral programme in “Chemical Genomics”. With a focus on chemical genomics research into major diseases, the School aims to integrate four cutting edge fields—modern synthetic chemistry, computational chemistry, chemical biology, and translational biology—to build a modern platform for innovative drug discovery and to cultivate talents in biomedical research. The School recruits doctoral students nationwide through two pathways: direct entry PhD programmes for outstanding bachelor’s degree holders (five year track) and application based PhD programmes for master’s degree holders.
Since 2008, the School has organized an annual “National Excellent Undergraduate Summer Camp” to promote exchange and interaction among outstanding undergraduates from universities across the country, to ignite young students’ interest in scientific research, and to select talented candidates for drug research and development in China. This event has become an important channel for outstanding undergraduates nationwide to learn about the School and has garnered widespread attention. To foster exchange among outstanding students in chemistry, biology, and related interdisciplinary fields, the School and the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering have jointly organized a summer camp since 2025. This year, the School and the College will co host the “2026 National Excellent Undergraduate Summer Camp” from 4–6 July 2026 at the Peking University Yanyuan Campus. All participants are required to attend the entire summer camp programme; if special circumstances prevent full attendance, a written application must be submitted.
